Website design

Creating a website can be a lot of work. You want to spend your precious time on the things you are best at. Maybe you don't know where to start or you think you lack the skills to do it yourself. Or you already have a website but want to change or update it and need some help or advice.

No worries, I will help you out. I can build a new website from scratch or update your existing site. We'll discuss together what you want to achieve and do with your website and from there determine what kind of website you need. This can be a website with Next.js, Gatsby.js, Ghost or WordPress.

If those names say nothing to you, that's fine. I will explain when we get there. For now, have a look at my portfolio to get a feel for what might be possible.

A webshop can generate additional income, but setting it up can be a lot of work. You probably have better things to do.

That's where I come in. If you tell me what products you want to have in your webshop, I'll set it up. We'll discuss what information I need, like product images and descriptions. Depending on how many products you want to sell and how often you want to update your shop we'll use OpenCart, WooCommerce or Magento.

Website/webshop hosting

Once you have a website (and/or webshop), it needs to be hosted on a server somewhere. You can off course choose almost any hoster you like. The websites I make do not use any exotic technologies that require special servers.

However, if you don't want the hassle of uploading and maintaining your website, I can do that too. This will be done on through jodiBooks, where we're hosting multiple websites for ourselves, but also for customers.

Depending on the type of website, it will be run through AWS CloudFront or AWS Lightsail. Again, don't worry if those names say nothing to you. Just remember that both will be very fast.

jodiBooks teamcity dashboard

At jodiBooks we use TeamCity to continuously test our software, automatically push new versions to our test environment and build our releases.

You need something similar for your software, but don't want the hassle of buying and maintaining your own hardware? Let me help you out.

We use Teamcity, but if you prefer Bamboo, Jenkins or any other, that's no problem, just make sure you have the proper license.
